Community Guidelines, Privacy & Cookies

1. Be authentic

Register with your real business or trading name and a contact person who actually works there. Only list goods or services your company genuinely supplies. Never impersonate another company, a government office, or a public figure.

2. No scams or fake listings

Don't list items you can't deliver, or advertise impossible "bait" prices to pull in enquiries. Don't ask a buyer to pay you directly and skip PaHarsha entirely once you've been introduced through an RFQ — that's the loophole the commitment fee exists to close, and doing it repeatedly is grounds for removal. No pyramid, MLM or "guaranteed returns" schemes.

3. No counterfeit or stolen goods

Don't sell replicas presented as genuine, and don't list goods you can't show you acquired legally. A brand owner can contact us to report suspected infringement.

4. Honest pricing & descriptions

Show the real price and unit — don't hide fees until a quote lands. Use actual photos of the item you're selling, and describe its condition (new, used, refurbished) truthfully.

5. Respectful communication

No insults, slurs, threats or harassment in RFQ messages, reviews or profiles. No spam or mass unsolicited messaging. Keep it professional — messages sent through an RFQ thread are visible to both sides and PaHarsha staff for as long as the request exists.

6. No abusive behaviour

Sexual content and any exploitation of minors are strictly forbidden and will be reported to the police. Doxxing, blackmail and revenge content lead to an immediate, permanent ban.

7. Honest reviews

A review must come from a genuine completed order. Don't buy, sell or trade reviews, and don't retaliate against a fair negative one. Coordinated fake reviews will be removed and the accounts involved suspended.

8. Respect intellectual property

Don't copy another supplier's photos or descriptions, and don't use the PaHarsha name or logo without our written permission.

9. What happens if you break these rules

Depending on how serious it is and whether it's happened before: the listing or content gets edited or removed, a warning, a temporary suspension, loss of a verification badge, or permanent account termination — with the matter referred to the Zimbabwean authorities where the law requires it. PaHarsha's admin team can remove any listing that clearly breaks these guidelines directly, without waiting to hear back from the supplier first, the same way a supplier can remove their own listing.

10. Reporting a problem

PaHarsha doesn't yet have a one-click "report" button on every listing — for now, email admin@paharsha.store or message us on WhatsApp with a link to the listing, profile or message and what's wrong. Reports are handled confidentially. For a problem with an order you've already paid the commitment fee on, use "Report a problem" from that order in your account instead — it goes straight to the help desk.

1. What we collect

Account & profile: company name, account type, city, phone/WhatsApp, email, and the password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).

Verification details — only if you apply for a badge:

We don't ask for a national ID, passport or a selfie for either badge — verification is reviewed by PaHarsha staff from the business details above, not identity documents.

Marketplace activity: product listings and photos, RFQs, quotes, orders, messages between buyer and supplier, reviews and ratings.

Payment reference: when you pay the commitment fee by EcoCash, we record the payment reference you submit and whether it's been confirmed — PaHarsha never sees or stores your mobile money PIN or account credentials.

Technical data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) and a session cookie that keeps you signed in. See the Cookie Policy below.

2. How we use it

To run your account and dashboard; to match buyers with suppliers and power search and browsing; to enable RFQs, quoting, messaging and orders; to review verification applications and enforce the Community Guidelines and Terms; to send account, order and verification emails; and to meet our legal obligations under Zimbabwean law.

3. Who we share it with

Your company name, listings, verification badge and review history are shown publicly to other users, as you'd expect on a marketplace — that's the point of listing. We don't sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers, and we don't share your verification documents or contact details with other users beyond what's needed to complete an RFQ or order. We use an email provider to deliver account and order emails on our behalf, and Railway (our hosting provider) to run the site and store data — both are bound to only process it on our instructions.

4. How long we keep it

Account and listing data for as long as your account is active. Order and payment records are kept for accounting purposes even after an order closes. Messages stay attached to their RFQ until the account involved is deleted. We don't have a fixed automatic deletion schedule yet — email us to request that your account and associated data be removed.

5. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate details (most of it you can edit yourself from your account), request deletion of your account, and object to how we use your data. Zimbabwe's Data Protection Act [Chapter 11:24] and Consumer Protection Act [Chapter 14:14] give you these rights and the ability to complain to the relevant regulator if we don't respect them. 6. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored as salted hashes, and access to verification and payment details is limited to PaHarsha staff who need it to review your application or resolve a dispute. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

7. Children

PaHarsha is a B2B marketplace for businesses and traders aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly register anyone under 18 — if you believe a minor has an account, tell us and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect it.

1. What we use today

PaHarsha only sets strictly necessary cookies: one that keeps you signed in (your session), and one that protects forms from cross-site attacks (CSRF protection). Both disappear when you sign out or clear your browser, and neither is used to track you across other websites.

2. What we don't use

No advertising cookies, no analytics trackers, and no cross-site tracking pixels — at the time of writing, PaHarsha doesn't run any of these, so there's no cookie-consent banner on the site. If that changes, we'll add one before anything new is set, and this page will be updated first.

3. Third-party resources

A couple of things your browser loads directly from outside PaHarsha when you visit: fonts from Google Fonts, and a small script library (htmx) from a public code delivery network. Loading these can expose your IP address to those providers the same way any web request does, but PaHarsha itself doesn't receive or set any tracking cookie through them.

4. Managing cookies

Your browser's settings let you block or delete cookies at any time. Blocking the strictly-necessary ones will simply sign you out and prevent you from staying logged in — there's nothing else to opt out of right now.
